Hi, DBZ girls fans! Spring is just around the corner, and in between my college work, I'm keeping on with the spring cleaning I posted about back in February. The galleries are starting to get much more organized as a result!
The Art Jams are temporarily on hiatus while I finish up the clean-up. I have closed the Art Jam folder to submissions until they start up again; prior to Valentine's Day, I had thought some folks were misreading the Art Jam themes or thought the "free space" option applied to all Art Jams, even if it wasn't listed. However, after our Valentine's Day Art Jam closed, I realized that was not the case - some submitters continued to post completely irrelevant works to the Art Jam folder.
Once the Art Jam folder was closed, these random works started showing up as being submitted to the Android 18 folder instead. What this tells me is that the submitters are not being careful where the works are submitted to. Please, please, please,
double-check what folder you are submitting your work into before you click the final "Submit" button. If you're having trouble understanding how to submit to the correct folder, there is a great tutorial here
on how to submit to groups. You can also do a search for "groups tutorial" in the deviantART Search bar and bring up a lot more tutorials!
Prior to this weekend, I had been allowing misplaced submissions into the gallery and then simply moving them myself to the correct folder. However, since it's now becoming a regular problem, I have started to decline misplaced submissions, and I will be asking the group moderators to do the same. You will
be allowed to resubmit misplaced works into the correct folder. This is just one small responsibility I want to ask members to take on to help this group keep running smoothly! Groups are fun and a great place to share your art, but they are that way because members can quickly and easily find what they're looking for.
Thanks, everyone! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask. =HurricaneIslandheart
